So, I know I promised to have these up way sooner. But I kept having to put it off for one reason or another.
Anyway, Christmas at our house went well. I was actually quite pleased, it was very nice staying home over the vacation and not having to split time or try to make it from one place to another so quickly and having us being plain exhausted when it comes time to head back to work.
We’ve been having a blast at the house. Of course, you may or may not know that I ended up finding a copy of Rock Band for the 360 just before Christmas. That being the case, I just had to buy it right on the spot pretty much. Even if I was just going to turn around and sell it. But I didn’t do that.
Ever since we got the 360, Sarah’s been Sad. One of her favorite games on the Xbox was the Karaoke Revolution Games that we had. Those unfortunately will not work on the new system (I suppose it wouldn’t really matter since the xbox mic wouldn’t work on their either.) Anyway. Rock Band fixes that, except the songs aren’t pop songs like on the Karaoke Game. They are rock songs. So it’s not quite as good for her, but she still has fun. And with this one, All of us get to play together. (Drums are way hard).
But everyone else also got nice things. Val got a new alarm clock named Fernando. Who tells the time and temperature, both indoors and outdoors. It’s kind of neat, but a little smaller, and a lot quieter than I expected. So I’m trying to track down a better clock for her now.
Sarah and Olivia made out like bandits as well. I snapped a few pictures, I can’t remember which ones are from the night before and which ones are from the morning of, but it’s all the same. Click on the picture below for a link to the whole album:
I also want to let you know that Valerie’s Office has decided to end the courtesy Car Program. I kind of prefer the new way now. At least now we own the car. As opposed to it being a company lease vehicle. But it did mean that we had to go out and buy a new car this past week. We test drove a bunch. But Val ended up getting a Chevy Malibu Maxx. It’s kind of a hatchback stationwagony sort of thing. It’s green but looks more gunmetal gray. And we got a super deal on it too. Everything seemed to work out quite well with it. I’ll take a picture and put it up sometime soon. But couldn’t get one before this posting.
And I do want to clean up some technical details as well. I went ahead and opened registrations up to everyone. I figured with dad putting his posts here as well. I could go ahead and do that. If you register yourself you will not have posting privileges in the website or picture gallery, you will only be a subscriber (which essentially just lets you log in and post your comments as a logged in person (it’s important but I don’t to get into exactly why) However, it is possible to also comment without having to register. So don’t feel like you’ve got to.
If you’re up for it, and I know who you are. I can change your status to a contributor that will let you have posting privileges on the website for both the website and the accompanying picture gallery. I think there are a few tweaks I’m still working out with dad. And it may not be as user friendly quite yet as I had hoped. But we’re working on it. Maybe I can take some screenshots and try to make an instruction manual of sorts.
Anyway. That’s all I have for now. For the last time of the Season. Merry Christmas Everyone and Happy New Year to everyone as well.
